Dynamic lighting before it was standard
A polished browser VTT with dynamic lighting and slick map tooling well before those were table stakes. Acquired into the Fandom orbit, then shut down in 2022 as priorities moved elsewhere.
The pixel-art multiverse
The pixel-art multiverse: a lavishly styled VTT with venture backing, real design ambition, and a devoted early community. Operations ceased around 2023.
WotC's 3D experiment
Wizards of the Coast's 3D virtual tabletop: announced with Unreal-engine spectacle, released to a lukewarm 2025 beta, and sunset within roughly a year. Servers shut down October 31, 2026. The 2D Maps tool inherits the mission.
